Williams Partners Transco To Increase Natural Gas To NYC

Williams Partners’ Transco reported a key regulatory milestone on two related projects designed to increase natural gas delivery capacity to Brooklyn and Queens in time for next winter’s heating season. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) on Feb. 28 published its final environmental review of Williams Parters’ Transco Rockaway Lateral and Northeast Connector expansions. The commission’s final decision is expected shortly. Transco hopes to begin construction in May and bring the projects into service in November.
