Summit Midstream Launches Ops On Polar Gathering System

Summit Midstream Partners LLC has begun operations of the Polar Crude Oil and Water Gathering System in the Bakken Shale in Williams County, ND.

The system is designed to gather 50,000 bpd of crude and 25,000 bpd of water from the Bakken and Three Forks shale formations. The system includes 50 miles of oil-gathering pipeline and 35 miles of water-gathering pipeline. Crude oil gathered on the system is delivered to the COLT Hub Terminal in Epping, ND.
