Kinder Morgan Pony Express, Banner Transportation Launch Joint Open Season

Kinder Morgan Pony Express Pipeline and Banner Transportation Company launched a joint open season to solicit shipper interest for crude oil transportation service on their combined facilities which include a 330-mile Banner Pipeline originating in the Bakken oil production area near Baker, MT and terminating near Guernsey, WY.

Under the joint service, Banner will deliver oil into the Pony Express pipeline near Guernsey for final delivery to various points in Cushing, OK and the Phillips 66 Ponca City refinery, located in Ponca City, OK. The companies expect to transport up to 100,000 bopd under a joint tariff beginning in late 2014.

As a part of the joint service being offered, Pony Express will be seeking commitments to support the conversion of a portion of the Pony Express pipeline from natural gas to crude oil service and the construction of a 260-mile Pony Express extension to Cushing.
