Wasco Awarded Pipe Coating Contracts

Wasco Energy’s Pipe Coating Division has been awarded a line pipe coating contract with a value of over US$2 million from Samsung Engineering Co. Limited for the Sabah Oil and Gas Terminal (SOGT) project. The contract involves the coating of 12-km of 28-inch and 10-km of 36-inch with asphalt enamel and concrete weight coating system. Work will be undertaken at Wasco’s primary coating plant in Kuantan, Malaysia and is expected to commence in the fourth quarter of 2010. Sacrificial aluminum anodes associated with this project will be supplied by Wasco Energy’s subsidiary, Wasco Corrosion Services Sdn Bhd. The SOGT will receive, store and export crude oil as we
