Colonial Announces Expansion Of Virginia Line

Colonial Pipeline announced a capacity expansion in Virginia that can increase deliveries to the Tidewater area by 24,000 bpd. Adjustments to increase pipeline flow rates will be installed in Richmond and Yorktown starting in January. When completed in early 2012, increased deliveries of gasoline, diesel fuel and other products will be available to customers at six Colonial delivery locations in the Norfolk-Newport News-Portsmouth area. This project is partially the result of a new connection made in Yorktown where a refinery shut down and converted its storage tanks to a delivery facility serving the Tidewater area.
