Questar Seeks Support For Compressor Station Modifications

Questar Pipeline Company (QPC) recently held an open season to seek binding support for the reconfiguration of compression facilities and piping modifications at its Fidlar compressor station in Uintah County, UT as well as an increase in the maximum allowed operating pressure of a section of its Mainline 68.

The proposed modifications will enable QPC to offer firm transportation service to deliver up to 25,000 Dth/d of additional capacity to the White River Hub from receipt points at Fidlar or upstream of Fidlar.

Additionally, QPC will be able to provide firm transportation service to deliver up to 30,000 Dth/d of additional capacity from the White River Hub to various points on QPC’s Northern system utilizing this capacity along with currently unsubscribed capacity.

The primary capacity QPC is offering to the White River Hub as part of this open season includes delivery to Rockies Express Pipeline. Shippers will be able to flex to delivery points on the White River Hub according to White River Hub’s tariff without amending their contracted primary delivery point(s).

Questar anticipates placing the new facilities in service by November 2011.
