FGTs Phase VIII Expansion Begins Service On Time, Within Budget

Southern Union Company placed the $2.48 billion Florida Gas Transmission Company (FGT) Phase VIII Expansion project in service on April 1, as scheduled. The expansion increases the capacity of FGT’s mainline facilities from the Mobile Bay, AL area to southern Florida and provides additional firm transportation service capacity throughout Florida to meet the state’s rising energy demand.
