Summit Midstream Announces Start-Up of Arlington Gathering Station

Summit Midstream Partners, LLC reports its wholly owned subsidiary, DFW Midstream Services LLC, has commissioned the Arlington, TX #1 gathering station with the start-up of an initial 19,800 horsepower of compression.

This is the first gathering station located within the city limits of Arlington and by the end of 2010, the station is expected to accommodate 37,800 hp of compression. Together with a smaller gathering station located in Dalworthington Gardens, DFW’s gathering system will have the capacity to transport 500 MMcf/d by year end.

DFW also acquired additional pipeline assets from a subsidiary of Chesapeake Energy Corp., including a 6.5-mile high-pressure pipeline that will connect DFW’s gathering system into Enterprise Products Partners L.P.’s Trinity River Lateral.
