Colorado Oil & Gas Association Announces Election of New Chairman

The Colorado Oil & Gas Association (COGA) announced Nov. 5 the election of Scott Moore as COGA’s 2011 Chairman of the Board.

During COGA’s November 3, 2010’s annual meeting, Moore, Vice President of Marketing, Anadarko Petroleum Corporation, was elected unanimously by the COGA Board of Directors.

“It is an honor and a privilege to take the reins of the Colorado Oil & Gas Association at such an important time,” Moore said. “As we begin to get our economy moving again, the oil and gas industry is poised to be the key economic driver by supporting over 190,000 local jobs and by providing over 90 percent of the states severance taxes.”

“We are so very fortunate to have Scott as our new chairman,” said Tisha Schuller, President of COGA. “Scott brings a sense of mission and purpose to everything he is involved in and it is that energy and drive which will lead COGA and the oil and gas industry to constructive and collaborative ways which will facilitate timely and efficient solutions.”
