Philippines Discussing Batman-2 Pipeline With International Contractors

State-run Philippine National Oil Company Exploration Corporation (PNOC-EC) is talking with foreign companies regarding the proposed Bataan–Manila (Batman-2) pipeline. In a regulatory filing, PNOC-EC said it is holding talks with China’s XinAo Gas, Japanese Mitsubishi Corporation, and PTT of Thailand for development of the Batman-2 gas pipeline that will traverse 150 km to link Bataan to Manila. The project also includes construction of a 35-km spur line (Batcave) to industrial areas in Rosario, Cavite province, and sub-transmission pipelines to serve potential gas users in the areas through which the pipeline passes.
