Magnum Adds McGown, Quigley to Management

Magnum Gas Storage, LLC, announced January 11 the addition of two new members to the management team: Mike McGown, as CFO, and Sam Quigley, as general manager.

McGown previously served as chief financial officer for Madagascar Oil. He has also worked in the energy investment banking group of Jefferies Randall & Dewey and in the corporate finance group of Vinson & Elkins LLP.

Mr. Quigley has more than 38 years of experience in the Utah mining industry, where he has been responsible for the development of several coal mines and load-out facilities. He is a board member of the Division of Oil, Gas and Mining, the Utah Mining Association and Intermountain Electronics; a manufacturer of electric control and distribution equipment for the energy industry.

Magnum Gas Storage is developing the first large-scale, high-deliverability salt cavern storage facility in the Western United States. Plans are underway to develop two caverns, each with a working gas capacity of approximately 9 to 10.5 billion cubic feet, in Central Utah’s Millard County.
