What's New

R&M Energy Systems Positive Closure

R&M Energy Systems says its new, revolutionary positive closure is unlike any other closure used in the oil and gas industry.

It is described as an intrinsically safe closure because it uses the fluid pressure in the pipeline or vessel to secure the door of the hub. The sealing force increases with the increase in fluid pressure for a secure, effective, safe seal, every time. The positive closure utilizes only the amount of force needed to secure the door, even under varying pressure conditions or at times when there is no internal fluid pressure.

R&M says – unlike its new positive closure – other pipeline closures have locking mechanisms that most often exceed the pressure force in order to prevent the fluid from leaking into the environment. Features include a fast opening design, positive sealing process for optimal operator and environmental safety, the capability to handle pressures of up to 15,000 psi, a customized door travel and standard materials of construction made to ASTM specifications and permitted under ASME Section VIII, Division 1, Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code. 936-890-1064, info@rmenergy.com, www.rmenergy.com.
