Editor's Notebook: Alaska Pipeline--2010 The Year To Watch

This month I’m marking my 25th anniversary in the Energy Capital of the world. Of course, the first thought I had was that if I can last another 25 years I might actually live (and work) to see that Alaskan natural gas pipeline built.

Should I Build Or Buy My Cybersecurity Solution?

Cybersecurity analysts at energy companies are facing Big Malware – often more than 100,000 unknown and potentially malicious files crossing their network thresholds daily. Only a small subset of these poses significant danger, but which ones? An increasing number of companies are coming to the conclusion that an automated malware analysis solution is the answer, but how do you get started?

The Time Is Right For Third-Party Gas Product Certification

Weather Conditions An Integral Part Of Southeast Texas LDCs Planning

No matter where a natural gas company is located, weather undoubtedly affects its energy demand and pricing year-round. But for smaller or rural utilities, weather situations can oftentimes be even more difficult as they face tighter financial or staffing restrictions.
