Pipeline Construction Project Planned in Kurdistan

Rosneft and the Kurdistan Regional Government today announced they will partner together to construct a gas export pipeline in Kurdistan.

Once completed, the pipeline, with a projected annual throughput capacity of 30 billion cubic meters, will supply natural gas to power plants and domestic factories throughout Kurdistan, while also transporting gas to Turkey and European markets.

The project is expected to be placed in service in 2019, with gas exports expected to begin in 2020.
