Jordan Cove LNG has launched an open season for the Pacific Connector Pipeline to assess customer interest for natural gas capacity. The open season commenced on July 18, 2017 and will end on Aug. 16, 2017.
Though much the natural gas from the Pacific Connector Pipeline will be shipped to Asian markets, Jordan Cove spokesman Michael Hinrichs said the open season is open to everyone.
Hinrichs added that one of the reasons cited by FERC when it rejected the project in 2016 was a lack of an open season to determine customer interest in purchasing capacity on the pipeline.
“We are excited to meet this requirement so early during this permitting process and we are confident this will meet FERC’s satisfaction,” Hinrichs said.
