Sunoco, ETP Complete Merger and Name Change

Sunoco Logistics Partners and Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) completed their merger announced in November of an indirect subsidiary of SXL and ETP, with ETP surviving the merger as a wholly owned subsidiary of SXL.

As part of the merger, Sunoco Logistics Partners changed its name to Energy Transfer Partners  and its common units will begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ETP ticker symbol.

Sunoco Logistics, which began to support the operations of the former oil giant Sun Oil maintains a of pipelines and terminals for crude oil, NGLs and refined products, including the Mariner East propane and ethane pipeline in Pennsylvania.
