Burns & McDonnell Grows Environmental Studies & Permitting Team

Erica Bowyer-Grason has joined Burns & McDonnell in the Northeast as a project manager. In this role, she will lead environmental permitting projects — specifically within the natural gas and energy industries — from the firm’s new location in Pennsylvania.

“Erica brings to the team a valuable perspective in the environmental permitting space and extensive knowledge of environmental permitting regulations in New Jersey and Pennsylvania,” says Brett Williams, Burns & McDonnell president and general manager of the New England office. “Her experience, the trusted relationships she’s built and work ethic make her a strong addition to our group dedicated to environmental studies and permitting.”

Bowyer-Grason has more than 16 years of experience supporting and managing a range of projects including site remediation, air quality, permitting and compliance for commercial and industrial clients. She has spent the past six years focused on permitting and compliance, managing multi-million dollar large-scale natural gas pipeline siting and licensing projects in the Northeast.

“I enjoy the challenge of finding sustainable, environmentally-friendly solutions for clients building the infrastructure of our future,” says Bowyer-Grason. “Regulations are constantly evolving and can be complex. I help clients meet requirements by obtaining all environmental permits and approvals associated with projects at county, state and federal levels — alleviating pain points and assisting with keeping the project on schedule and under budget.”

Bowyer-Grason received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Bucknell University and is a registered professional engineer in Pennsylvania and Nevada.
