Members of the Pipe Line Contractors Association of Canada (PLCAC) elected the following officers at its 62nd annual convention: President Neil Waugh of NPL Canada, First Vice President Lyall Nash of Testco Western, Second Vice President Paul Schultz of Premay Pipeline Hauling and Treasurer Kevin Waschuk of Waschuk Pipe Line Construction. Neil Lane will continue as executive director of the association. The event took place in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island.

Barry Abel joined CIRCOR Energy as North American midstream manager. He is responsible for Trunnion Mounted Valve (KF Valves Welded Body & P3) and Engineered Valve (Pibiviesse) sales into North American Transmission and Midstream accounts.
Alan Snider, a veteran of over 26 years in designing and managing horizontal directional drilling and Direct Pipe® projects for pipeline crossings, was named president and COO at Laney Directional Drilling. Previously, he served as vice president of Engineering and Project Management.
The Lincoln Electric Company, a subsidiary of Lincoln Electric Holdings, promoted Michele R. Kuhrt to executive vice president and CIO.
The National Fuel Gas Company Board of Directors has elected Rebecca Ranich as a new director.
Keith M. Meyer is the new president of the Alaska Gasline Development Corp. (AGDC). Meyer takes over following the state’s $65 million acquisition of TransCanada’s interest in the Alaska LNG project. AGDC holds the state’s 25% interest in the 20 Mtpa LNG export project which is completing a $400 million preliminary front-end engineering design phase. The project includes a three-train liquefaction facility on the Kenai Peninsula, an 800-mile pipeline and a 3.3 Bcf/d gas treatment plant on the North Slope.
Continuum Energy, announced a change in senior leadership with the appointment of David House to president and CEO, succeeding Jason Few.
ABB appointed Doug Schuster as global leader of Thomas & Betts, the installation products business it acquired in May 2012. He is based in Memphis, TN.
Burns & McDonnell added four senior project managers to its oil and gas design-build teams. Steve Adcock and Jeremy Wilkerson joined as senior project managers in Houston and Kirsten Glesne and Chris McFarland are new senior project managers in Denver. All will be responsible for leading terminal, pipeline and related facility projects in the United States and internationally.
American Midstream Partners, LP appointed Peter Fasullo to the board of directors of its general partner, which is controlled by an affiliate of ArcLight Capital Partners, LLC.
Trelleborg’s offshore operation has appointed Sebastian Araujo as managing director of its Brazilian manufacturing facility in Macae.
Decom North Sea named Roger Esson as chief executive. DNS is the industry body that is leading the way in developing a path forward for the North Sea decommissioning sector.
Vortex Infrastructure Products promoted Andrew Gonnella to vice president of Sales and Marketing.
SEACOR Holdings Inc. named Tim Whipple as CEO of its subsidiary, Witt O’Brien’s. Whipple succeeds Ken Burris, who will continue to work on strategic initiatives and business development.

ECOTEC International Holdings acquired GAZOMAT S.A.R.L., a subsidiary of T.D. Williamson (TDW), Tulsa, OK. Based in Strasbourg, France, GAZOMAT manufactures high-performance portable gas leak detection instruments, leak detection services, and first-responder environmental safety equipment. ECOTEC and GAZOMAT use similar core technologies and serve complementary markets.
Mathey Dearman has entered into a partnership to bring the professional Italian products from GBC Group to the U.S. market.
Emerson has moved its service center in Pasadena, TX into a larger facility to expand its local manufacturing and assembly capabilities. The expansion is in response to requests from customers to provide even quicker delivery and more customization of Emerson technologies. The Service Center houses service, design, manufacturing, and assembly operations for measurement technologies, which allows for same or next day manufacturing.
Specific process measurement products which can now be manufactured or assembled at the Pasadena facility include Rosemount™ thermocouples, thermowells, and temperature sensors. Local manufacturing capabilities also encompass pressure, temperature and level transmitters, along with the related components required to make these measurements, such as impulse lines for pressure transmitters. Emerson technicians can also perform calibration at the Pasadena service center, so customers can quickly receive a complete process measurement system ready for installation and use. The facility is located at 1465 East Sam Houston Parkway, Suite 190.
The New Mexico Public Regulation Commission voted unanimously to approve a final order authorizing, among other things, Emera Inc.’s proposed acquisition of TECO Energy Inc. and the indirect acquisition of New Mexico Gas Company. Chris Huskilson, president and CEO of Emera, said, “We look forward to our future in New Mexico and supporting the New Mexico Gas Company’s work in serving its customers and communities. We are excited about the many growth opportunities we see in both New Mexico and Florida.”
ABSG Consulting, a subsidiary of ABS Group of Companies, has been contracted by Kinder Morgan to develop a maintenance and integrity program for the LNG regasification terminal at Elba Island near Savannah, GA. The $2 billion project is expected to be placed in-service in 2018.
ScottMadden, Inc. acquired Sussex Economic Advisors, a management consulting and economic advisory firm, to expand the company’s offerings and expertise in regulatory strategy, utility rate-making and energy market assessments.
KP Engineering acquired McDaniel Process Engineering Consultants. Officials said the acquisition will enhance KPE’s expertise in refining, midstream and petrochemical process engineering, particularly fractionation applications.
CORTEC expanded its Manifold Systems’ Lafayette, LA manufacturing facility and relocated to new premises in Port Allen. The facility supports a full range of service operations, including sales, engineering, machining, product assembly and testing, inventory and coating.
Discovery Midstream Holdings partnered with Old Ironsides Energy to pursue midstream infrastructure acquisition and greenfield development opportunities across North America. Discovery is led by its managing partners: President Mike Davis, Chief Commercial Officer Steven Meisel and CFO Drew Chambers. Other partners include COO Cory Jordan and Chief Accounting Officer Julie Hartmann.
