Pieridae Energy Receives Non-FTA Export Authorization
Pieridae Energy (Canada) Ltd. and its operating subsidiary corporations (Pieridae) continue to meet major milestones with their proposed Goldboro LNG processing facility. On Feb. 5 Pieridae received its Non-Free Trade Export authorization from the U.S. Department of Energy. This allows U.S.-sourced LNG to be exported to countries which do not have a free trade agreement with the U.S. This authorization supplements the Free Trade Export authorization which Pieridae received from the Department of Energy in 2015 allowing the export of U.S.-sourced natural gas to Canada and other countries with which the U.S. has entered into a free trade agreement.
These U.S. Free Trade and US Non-Free Trade authorizations will allow the Goldboro LNG project to serve substantially all global LNG markets. It will also allow Pieridae to manage gas supply feedstock for LNG deliveries to Western and Southern Europe, where its primary customer, Uniper Global Commodities S.E. (formerly E.ON Global Commodities S.E.), has its base of operations.
