APA Group Proposes $1.2 Billion Australian Connector Project

APA Group has proposed a project to connect its Northern Territory and east-coast gas assets which would cost $1.2 billion.

The report from Bloomberg indicated Mike McCormack, APA’s managing director, said the line could give customers access to any gas source between the Timor Sea north of Australia and the Bass Strait off the southeast coast. APA plans to spend $2 million to study viability of the project and expects to reach an investment decision within the next two years.
