P&GJ Editor Jeff Share Sweeps Houston Press Club 2011 Column Awards

Pipeline & Gas Journal‘s editor Jeff Share walked away from the Houston Press Club’s 2011 Lone Star Award Dinner on June 27 with four major awards, including first, second and third place awards in the magazine column category.

“Jeff’s writing presents the facts, takes a stand, and challenges the readers to think beyond what officials are telling them to believe,” according to comments printed with the awards. The honored columns were “No Use Crying Over Spilled Oil” (first place); “Pennsylvania’s Last Hope” (second place) and “Meet the Mother of All Spills” (third place).

Share also won first place in the magazine article category with his piece “Rod West: A Hero of
Katrina
,” eliciting the comment, “Truly outstanding writing. To read a piece by Jeff Share… is the next best thing to sitting down and actually meeting Rod West.”
