Columbia Gas Announces Pipeline Plans

In preparation for winter, NiSource Gas Transmission & Storage (NGT&S) unit Columbia Gulf Transmission announced an open season to gauge interest in transportation capacity to be delivered to Texas Eastern Transmission in St. Landry Parish, LA. NGT&S is considering modifying or constructing assets for the delivery of up to 176,000 Dth/d to Texas Eastern with anticipated in-service date of Nov. 1.
“This expansion builds upon Columbia Gulf’s strategy of continually modifying its system to ensure that it is offering its shippers access to a diverse array of supply sources as well as the highest-value markets in North America,” said John McNamara, vice president of Marketing and Origination.
Columbia Gulf is soliciting binding offers for firm transportation contracts sourced from receipt points located on the Columbia Gulf Mainline near Delhi, LA and delivered to the Texas Eastern St. Landry interconnect. A complete bid package is available on Navigates (www.ngtsnavigates.com), Columbia Gulf’s electronic bulletin board.
