Lineal Industries, the specialty construction, maintenance and pipeline integrity services company, announced the opening of a new field operations office in Houston. The 65-year-old company, which originally focused on the U.S. Northeast midstream and upstream markets is based in the Pittsburgh suburb of Bridgeville. Its new Houston office will focus on refinery and petrochemical turnarounds and specialty construction, in addition to its legacy midstream and upstream pipeline services.  

Gulfstream Services, Inc., an offshore and onshore equipment rental and engineered solutions provider, announced a new location in Midland, Texas, an expanded facility in Houma, La. and new office space in Houston. Formed in 1978, GSI has seven locations in the US and one in Aberdeen, with a global team of 210 employees.

United Piping Inc. (UPI), based in Duluth, Minn., celebrated the end of 2019 with a record of 2.5 million hours worked without a lost-time injury. Employees from job sites and offices across 14 states were instrumental in achieving this milestone. Since 2016, UPI’s total recordable injury rate (TRIR) decreased, reaching zero in 2019. UPI’s programs also led them to reducing their first aid case rate by 30% in 2019.
