Apache Corporation announced Kregg Olson, executive vice president, Corporate Reservoir Engineering, plans to retire effective Aug. 1. Dave Pursell, senior vice president, Planning and Market Fundamentals, will assume his responsibilities. Before joining Apache in early 2018, Pursell served as managing director of Investment Banking for Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co.

James Atkin joined Orrick as global co-head of its oil and gas practice based in Japan. He joins the company from Vinson & Elkins, where he was managing partner of the Tokyo office. He is the 24th partner Orrick has recruited to its global Energy & Infrastructure platform since early 2016, when the Houston office launched.

Ray Walker, executive vice president and chief operating officer of Range Resources retired after 42 years in the industry. Dennis Degner, senior vice president of Operations will oversee operations for both the Marcellus and North Louisiana divisions. Degner has more than 20 years of oil and gas experience having worked with EnCana, Sierra Engineering and Halliburton.

James MacTaggart joined NextDecade Corporation as senior vice president, LNG Marketing-Asia, in conjuction with the company opening offices in Singapore and Beijing. MacTaggart has worked more than 20 years with Shell in various marketing and trading positions.

BCCK Holding Company appointed Kevin J. Blount as chief operating officer. The company said he will be involved in engineering, sales and marketing, and quality assurance. Blount was appointed vice president of corporate development at BCCK in August, after spending more than 30 years with Chart Industries.

Albert Johnson has joined JupiterMLP, a Permian-Delaware provider of logistics and offtake solutions, as executive vice president of Business Development. He is responsible for all strategic business development efforts and asset management activities. Previously, Johnson was the vice president of Business Development for Navigator Energy Services.

Carol Conomos took the helm of compression packaging and service company SEC Energy Products and Services (SEC) as its new president. Conomos comes to SEC from Sunoco Logistics, where she was the director of Refined Products. She spent much of her career at Dresser-Rand, most recently as director of the High Speed Reciprocating Compressor Unit.

Statoil is changing its Corporate Executive Committee to “broaden the experience in its leadership team. Development and Production Vice President, International Lars Christian Bacher will become chief financial officer, Development & Production; and Development & Production, USA Vice President Torgrim Reitan will head up the restructured International section, including current operations.

Oil and gas recruitment company Petroplan Group appointed Philippa Barnes as its new CEO. In her previous roles as client expe rience director and global human resources director, Barnes was instrumental in developing the company’s approach to managing and developing sustainable relationships with clients, and the development of recruitment, humans resources and corporate governance practices.

Daniel A. Gillett has been appointed by the Board of Directors of frack sand provider Select Sands Corp. as its new chairman. He brings over 30 years’ experience, serving as a director, investment banker, consultant and in senior executive roles, including chief executive officer and chief financial officer.

Motion Industries’ Ellen Holladay, the company’s senior vice president is the 2018 recipient of the Bearings Specialists Association (BSA) Lifetime Achievement Award. The honor is given to those showing exemplary leadership in the among those in the bearing manufacture and distribution industry.

 

Enservco Corporation co-founder and senior vice president of Field Operations Austin Peitz left the company, following a 20-year career in which he helped build Enservco into a national, multi-service operator. Peitz headed up company operations for 20 years.

Sue Hayden joined Gulf Oil today as its executive vice president and chief marketing officer. In this newly created role, Hayden will report to president and chief executive officer, Eric Johnson, and is responsible for driving the overall strategy for branded operations, marketing, customer service and credit card operations.

Houston-based drilling and completion equipment renter Wellsite Fishing and Rental Services, appointed Ryan Henderson as its new executive vice president. He served as Wellsite’s vice president of sales and marketing since October last year. Henderson more than 18 years of oil and gas experience in drilling, completions and production.

 

Mark Bessell has been appointed chief executive by Fara Holdco Limited, owners of Bibby Offshore, CECON Contracting and Rever Offshore. He joins the executive team at Fara Holdco following four years as chief operating officer with Songa Offshore AS in Norway.

J.A. “Alan” Townsend, president and CEO of Rosehill will retire after more than 45 years working in the oil and gas industry, and 16 years of service to the company and its predecessor Tema Oil and Gas Company. He will also step down as director of Rosehill.

Tracy Jackson has been named executive vice president and chief financial officer of CVR Energy. He also will serve as executive vice president and chief financial officer for the general partner of CVR Energy’s petroleum subsidiary, CVR Refining. Jackson, who has 25 years of experience, most recently served as vice president and controller for Andeavor (formerly Tesoro) and the general partner of Andeavor Logistics (formerly Tesoro Logistics).

William J. Scarff will step down as president and CEO of independent oil and gas company Amplify Energy Corp. once a successor has been chosen. Scarff will continue to serve as a member of the company’s Board of Directors.

Klas Bendrik will join DNV GL as chief digital transformation officer to support the company’s digitalization and IT strategy. Starting on Sept. 1, Bendrik will be based at the DNV GL headquarters in Høvik, Norway as a member of the Executive Committee.

Oilfield Helping Hands (OHH), a non-profit organization that helps oilfield families in financial crisis, appointed Bill Markus as its first executive director. Based in Houston, Markus will manage the support staff and day-to-day operations, raising funds, and guiding and assisting committee chairs.
