Structural Integrity, Mitsubishi
Structural Integrity Associates Inc. has announced two projects with Mitsubishi Nuclear Energy Systems, Inc. to perform on-site implementation work, engineering and licensing support for the company’s water jet peening process, offered to utilities to mitigate the potential for stress corrosion cracking. Water jet peening is used to modify material stress in important nuclear plant components. The entire process can be conducted underwater using only high-pressure water. No foreign materials are introduced and no heat is applied to the material. The equipment is designed to be easy to operate and can be controlled remotely. www.structint.com.

Step-Ko Products
Step-Ko Products has released a new gasket, ASSUREASEAL SSC, used for severe service applications. The gasket is suitable for sealing pipeline flanges with a flow of hydrocarbon-based media such as gas, natural gas and oil. It can withstand most low concentrations of chemical-based media with a temperature range of -200°F to 350°F. The ASSSUREASEL SSC is manufactured from a GRE epoxy glass laminate that is permanently fused to a 316 stainless steel core. This gasket contains a spring energized Teflon seal and is suitable in all services including 2,500# ANSI through API 10,000# classes. Trenchers And Equipment, Inc.
Trenchers And Equipment, Inc. has announced the new Eagle 7500 Wheel Trencher, which has a Caterpillar Tier III 250 hp diesel engine, electronically controlled hydraulic drives, 7-foot digging depth and 24 to 30 inch width cuts. According to the company, the speed of a wheel trencher allows it to replace anywhere from 4 to 10 backhoes for open cut methods. Trenchers also leave behind a perfect trench with a fine spoil that can be discharged to either side of the machine, or loaded directly onto a truck. ESAB Welding And Cutting Products has introduced the Swift Arc series of pre-engineered, robotic welding cells, available in 3 models: Swift Arc AL (angle-load), Swift Arc FL (front-load), and Swift Arc SL (side-load) robot cells. Each system is a complete work cell, and suited for job shops introducing robotics to their applications. The complete robotic system is delivered ready-to-weld, so a user need only hook up the input power, gas, and wire to start welding. Master Bond

Master Bond has developed FLM36, a B-staged film that eliminates mixing and measuring, for bonding and sealing applications. FLM36 can withstand temperatures up to 500°F and retains its high strength properties upon prolonged exposure to elevated temperature. It bonds well to a variety of substrates including metals, composites, glass and many plastics. It is a superior electrical insulator and can endure thermal and mechanical shocks. The product is offered in three standard sizes: 4 x 4 x 0.008 inches, 8 x 8 x 0.008 inches and 12 x 12 x 0.006 inches. The Climax AC3000 Auto Clad system is a integrated cladding machine that lays five pounds of metal per hour, reducing weld times versus hand welding. The machine works on bores 2 to 22 inches in diameter, and flanges up to 32 inches in diameter. Any commercially available alloy can be used. The machine rotates the workpiece while applying the clad overlay. An adjustable axial torch feed system uses a step feed process for complete coverage over the entire length of the bore. The cladding machine’s table tilts to the vertical position to help ease the loading and centering of larger and heavier parts, and an optional face torch is available for automatic cladding of flange faces and gasket surfaces.
