DCP Midstream To Build 700-Mile NGL Pipeline

DCP Midstream recently held a non-binding expression of interest for the proposed DCP Sandhills Pipeline.

The natural gas liquids (NGL) pipeline will run more than 700 miles from West Texas to fractionation and storage facilities along the Texas Gulf Coast including Mont Belvieu. Sandhills Pipeline will open new capacity for NGLs produced from the Avalon Shale in West Texas and the Eagle Ford Shale in South Texas to be transported to market.

DCP officials say this system should relieve the capacity constraints now affecting producers in these regions. DCP Sandhills Pipeline, with an estimated 2013 in-service date, will have a target capacity of 130,000 bpd. The project is not restricted to this capacity amount and is scalable to meet customer needs. For information, visit www.DCP Midstream Open Season.
